This bowl reliably demonstrates its functionality in any environment: in the entrance area as a place to store keys, wallet, sunglasses and the finds of the day (shells, chestnuts, pebbles), in the living room as a haven for decorative arrangements or in the bathroom as an organized access point for toiletries. Yet it is far more than just a practical container: turned by hand into a fine shape, the decorative bowl represents craftsmanship in which the unique grain of the ash wood has been skillfully worked out. Each bowl is a small work of art, as unique as the annual rings of the ash wood from which it was turned, and reveals the natural narrative talent of the natural material. The alternation of lighter and darker lines, which creates an image of wood with depth on the velvety smooth surface, also tells the story of the tree. The untreated ash wood will tell a similarly eloquent story of your everyday life over the years of its use. If life has left a small mark, you can gently re-sand the surface at any time with fine sandpaper or (also) treat it with a maintenance oil.

The focus of his designs is therefore on the innovative added value that a product offers you - and the innovation consists of solving a problem that arises in our everyday lives.

"You don't stumble across good ideas," emphasizes Markus Stallberg. Rather, he approaches the solution to such an everyday problem in many small steps, the direction of which is determined by constant observation and questioning. Until a functional solution has been developed, you have to "sometimes go astray". Trial and error, reconsideration and further improvements are just as much a part of this process as a lively exchange with a wide variety of people. An open ear for their respective needs is essential in order to create a product that is functional and yet not too complex. Close cooperation with experienced manufacturers is just as important. After all, the product should not only have an appealing, integrable design on paper, on the computer and in the self-built model, but should also be well crafted and manufactured in a resource-saving manner. Instead of reinventing the wheel, it is perfectly possible to transfer the tried and tested into the present - with an additional benefit that ideally "satisfies everyone". Life will decide whether this succeeds in the best possible way. And therefore you.
