Argan hair oil

There ar two main ingredients of this nourishing hair: argan oil from the Arganeraie region in Morocco and sunflower oil. Blended with oils from the cuckooflower and burdock root, the oils smoothen the fine hair structure, improve hair elasticity, increase shine, and prevent hair-ends from drying out and splitting. Rub a few drops in the palms of your hands and then work into the ends of your hair. (Hair may be wet or dry.) The hair oil works best if worked into hair and the ends when damp and left on the hair overnight. The next morning you can shampoo your hair in the usual way.

The Moroccan Berbers have been using argan oil for thousands of years - in the kitchen, where it refines almost every dish, as well as for body care. In Europe, this valuable and rare oil has long since become an insider tip. And for good reason, as the creamy, nutty oil not only tastes delicious, but is also extremely healthy. It consists of over 80% unsaturated fatty acids, has a very high vitamin E content and protects the human cell organism with its antioxidants. When applied to the skin, argan oil is quickly absorbed without leaving a greasy or shiny film. It moisturizes, which has a positive effect on skin tension, and is also very well tolerated by sensitive skin and skin prone to irritation.

The precious argan oil is extracted from the argan fruits of the Arganeraie. The argan trees (Argania spinosa), which are now threatened with extinction, only grow in this area between the Atlantic, the High Atlas and the Anti-Atlas mountains in south-western Morocco. To protect them and support the production of argan oil using stone mills, UNESCO declared the Arganeraie a biosphere reserve in 1998 and placed the traditional production of argan oil on the "List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding".Argand’Or uses gently cold-pressed argan oil from the UCFA (Union des Coopératives des Femmes de l'Arganeraie), an association of over 20 women's cooperatives, which secures the income of Berber families and thus preserves the social structures and the unique cultural landscape of the argan trees.
