Anti-snare insert for cat bowl

Cats are considered picky individualists. But not every cat shows the nobility of a reserved diva in front of the food bowl. Some cats, especially if they are kept indoors, pounce on their daily food with zeal and gobble down the meal greedily in a few bites. This eating behavior not only results in a delayed feeling of satiety, but can also lead to flatulence, poorer utilization of nutrients in the digestive tract and, in extreme cases, immediate vomiting of the food due to the increased air intake.

The anti-gulping insert in the bowl counteracts this unhealthy behavior with its flat, nubby surface without spoiling your cat's appetite. This is because the insert easily encourages your velvet paw to spend more time eating: For all its enthusiasm for the food, your cat has to carefully search the spaces between the nubs with its tongue in order to eat the food chunks completely. As a result of the slower, more attentive intake of food, your cat will take in less air into the digestive tract, where the food can be better utilized. The risk of vomiting is reduced - and last but not least, your pet will feel more satiated. This means that anti-gulping inserts are naturally also suitable for cats with a tendency to be overweight.

Our anti-snack inserts are made of particularly robust, easy-to-clean Granicium®, a special form of granite ceramic, and are so heavy that your furry friend cannot simply push them out of the bowl with his paw. The nubs are adapted to the anatomy of a cat and are therefore flatter than on the anti-snag inserts for dogs. In principle, the insert is suitable for any food bowl with a suitable inner diameter, but its proportions have been optimized for use in granite ceramic cat bowls, into which it fits effortlessly.

The Coburg-based Keramische Werkstätten Denk - nomen est omen - have given a lot of thought to the different needs and behaviors of dogs and cats and have finally developed these food bowls in various designs. What all the bowls have in common is the material: Granicium®, a special form of granite ceramic. The granite comes from the German low mountain ranges; the rock flour is processed into clay with the addition of spring water, Effective Microorganisms (EM) and lactic acid cultures.

• The resulting Granicium®, which is fired at high temperatures, is naturally free from metals and any plasticizers and is also particularly dense, strong and very robust.

• Tiny ground rutile crystals (titanium dioxide) have also been added to the granite ceramic to achieve a small photocatalytic self-cleaning effect: When exposed to light, the surface has a slight antimicrobial effect, reducing unpleasant odors on the material surface.

• The surface is typically fine and slightly rough - not too much so as not to affect your pet's tongue, but enough to prevent the food from falling out of the bowl when lapped up (as can easily happen with very smooth bowls).

The shape of the bowls is just as well thought out as the choice of material.

• Their center of gravity is very low so that they cannot tip over.

  Thanks to their considerable weight, they cannot be easily pushed around.

• The wall of the round bowl "glides" up from the floor seamlessly, without any obstructive edges or corners, so that your pet can press the food against the wall and pick it up without leaving any residue.

Should a small mishap happen to your furry friend despite all the foresight and foresight: The Granicium® food bowls can be put in the dishwasher. They are also suitable for the microwave and convection oven and can be used to prepare and serve hot food. And leftover food can easily be covered with a second of the stackable bowls, which can be used as a water bowl, for example, and offered to the pet at a later date.
