    General Information

A Guthmann Classic. For More Than a Centenary.

The jewellery manufacturer Guthmann revived this classic on the occasion of two anniversaries. 250 years ago, in 1767, Charles Frederick, Grand Duke of Baden, former Margrave of Baden-Durlach, issued a patent for the establishment of a watch and jewellery manufactory in Pforzheim, thereby laying the foundation for the future of Pforzheim as a centre for goldsmithing. And Guthmann, which is directed today by the great-grandson of the founder, celebrated its 111th anniversary in 2017.

A New Edition. With Recycled Diamonds.

The golden heart which Guthmann produced from the 1950s until the 1990s was by far and away the most popular item of the traditional manufactory. A recycled 0.01 carat diamond in a star-cut setting decorates the new edition of the 750 gold pendant on the front. The stones, reclaimed from old gold purchases, are cleaned, sorted and re-evaluated. Real stones show no scratches or other signs of damage.
The front and back of the necklace are matt. The chain is adjustable to three lengths: 45, 42 and 38 cm.

    Jewellery from Pforzheim. Martin Guthmann.

Making high-quality jewellery that’s affordable for more people was the idea the goldsmith Martin Guthmann had in 1906 for his jewellery manufacturing business. The business is run today in the fourth generation by his great grandson, with all production still located in the jewellery and gold centre of Pforzheim. Milled, stamped, drawn and cast parts in the factory are assembled by hand in smaller series. The designs include among other things old jewellery shapes and ornaments from the company’s archive which are recast and assembled with updated traditional manufacturing techniques.

    Jewelry from Pforzheim. Martin Guthmann

Making high-quality crafted jewelry affordable for as many people as possible - with this in mind, goldsmith Martin Guthmann founded his jewelry manufactory in 1906. Today, run by his great-grandson in the fourth generation, the family business still produces entirely in the jewelry and gold city of Pforzheim. In the manufactory, rolled, stamped, drawn and cast parts are assembled by hand into small series. Among other things, old jewelry forms and ornaments from the company's own history are incorporated into the design: they are cast and - using historical manufacturing techniques - transferred to our time.
